2026 New England College Officiating Camp
June 26, 27, and 28
At Worcester Academy
81 Providence Street, Worcester, MA
New England’s premier college development and evaluation camp proudly invites prospective
officials who aspire to officiate at the collegiate level. There has never been a greater need —
or opportunity — for dedicated officials to advance into college basketball.
I encourage you to join us June 26–28 at Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts,
held in conjunction with the prestigious ISL/NEPSAC Collegiate Division I, II, and III
Coaches Showcase. This unique setting provides outstanding exposure, instruction, and the
chance to be evaluated alongside top collegiate programs.
The 2026 New England College Officiating (NECO) Camp is dedicated to the training,
development, exposure, and recruitment of prospective college basketball officials who aspire
to serve the eight major NCAA Division III conferences in New England, as well as Region
XXI of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). This year’s camp will once
again operate in conjunction with an NCAA-sanctioned event, featuring some of the finest
teams from across the Northeast.
Over the past 17 years, 208 officials and 100 provisional officials have been hired to serve
within the New England College Officiating consortium. While we are proud of that growth
and success, attrition has significantly impacted our roster, creating an immediate need to
strengthen and expand our staff. Accordingly, we are seeking to identify and hire additional
officials for the 2026 NECO staff, representing all six New England states, as well as New
York and New Jersey. Every current member of our NECO staff earned their opportunity
through participation in the NECO Camp. The training, evaluation, exposure, and mentorship
provided at camp have proven invaluable in each official’s pursuit of advancement to the collegiate level.
We are especially enthusiastic about hosting this year’s camp at Worcester Academy. The
facilities are exceptional, and the level of team competition will be outstanding. The Worcester
Academy Fieldhouse offers a three-court setup that allows for continuous observation,
meaningful instruction, and consistent interaction with each camper. Our clinicians and
observers will include some of the most respected officiating leaders in the region. The
instruction, dialogue, and video analysis provided by our staff will deliver tremendous value to
every participant. While the core mission of the NECO Camp is the continued development
and recruitment of collegiate officials, we remain equally committed to supporting each
camper’s individual growth and advancement.
Each camper will receive a New England College Officiating dry-fit shirt and will be provided
water, fruit, and light snacks throughout the camp. The registration fee is $250 per camper.
Need-based assistance and scholarship considerations are available.
