New England College Officiating Camp
June 28, 29 and 30
At Avon Old Farms School, Avon, CT
New England’s premier College development and tryout camp would like to invite all prospective College officials interested in officiating at the Collegiate level. The need and opportunity for officials to become Collegiate level officials has never been greater. I would like to encourage you to join me on June 28, 29 and 30 at “Avon Old Farms School”, Avon, Ct. in conjunction with the prestigious ISL/ NEPSAC Collegiate Division 1, 2 and 3 Coaches Showcase event.
The 2024 edition of the New England College Officiating Camp is committed to the training, development, exposure, and recruitment of prospective College Basketball Officials serving the 8 major NCAA Division III Conferences in New England, as well as Region XXI ‘s National Junior Colleges. This year’s New England Camp event is run in conjunction with NCAA sanctioning featuring the finest teams from the Northeast.
Over the past 15 years, 176 Officials and 68 Provisional Officials have been hired by me to serve the New England College Officiating consortium. But attrition has had a dramatic impact on our staff, and there is a dramatic need to bolster our New England staff while providing opportunity to those interested in pursuing College officiating. I will be looking to hire additional officials to our 2024 NECO staff representing 6 New England States, New York and New Jersey. Every member of our NECO staff has been selected based on their participation at the New England College Officiating Camp. The training, development and exposure received through the NECO Camp has proven to be invaluable to every Camper/Official in their pursuit of advancement to the Collegiate level.
I am especially excited about this year’s Camp at Avon Old Farms. The facilities are exceptional! The level of player/team competition will be outstanding! The Avon Old Farms Fieldhouse will provide a 3-court setting for observations and a perfect setting for interaction with every camper. Our Camp Clinicians and Observers will be some of the most respected colleagues in the region. The guidance, discussion, and video our campers will receive from our respected staff will prove to be most valuable. Although, the mission of the NECO Camp is the continued development and recruitment of College Officials, we are also very committed to every camper’s development and advancement.

Each Camper will receive a New England College Officiating dry fit shirt, and be provided with water, fruit, and snack. Camp will be $250 to each Camper (need based and scholarship consideration are considered).
